My goal is to create a team environment that encourages seventh grade girls to support one another rather than cut each other down. They will get to meet other 7th grade girls at another school through discussion. Skype allows for students to use technology and communicate face to face. Materials: Computer Internet Connection Skype Microsoft Word Procedure: One of the planned activities and topic for discussion, will be “Girl Talk”. Girls will be instructed to write a question on a slip of paper and place in our question box. The discussion time will be around 1 ½ hours long and students will be encouraged to ask questions, express their feelings and discuss what they are learning. Evaluation: At the end of discussion, students must write a reflection to include affirmations and compliments of each other and what they learned and turn it in for a grade. Standards: 2,5,6
